Web3 domains replace technical addresses with human-readable names, making resources accessible for users. Ethereum Name Service (ENS), built on top of the Ethereum network, allows users to create memorable and distinctive domain names and manage domain registration and resolution through smart contracts. ENS applications include decentralized apps, digital identity administration, certificate issuance and verification, and token exchanges, but web3 domains are also classified as speculative assets with fluctuating prices.
